Muscat: The first shipment of the international road transport system (TIR), was launched on Sunday from Sultanate towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
A statement issued online by the Directorate General of Customs said:"The first shipment of the international road transport system, (TIR), launched in cooperation between the Directorate General of Customs and the SINYAR Company through Hafeet port towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, passing through the ports of the United Arab Emirates, and this comes within the commitment of Omani Customs to apply the standards of the Agreement on Facilitating International Trade."
