Muscat: An earthquake has been reported in Southern Iran on Sunday, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC), at the Sultan Qaboos University.
A statement issued online by the EMC said: "An earthquake in Southern Iran with magnitude of 4.9, at 4:54 pm MCT and at a depth of 18 km has been recorded. The earthquake was recorded 200 km away from Khasab."
