New program to attract private investments launched in Oman

Muscat: A national program, based on the sublime directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, has been launched in Oman. The program is aimed at attracting private investments, while enhancing the presence of Omani exports in foreign markets.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: "The program is one of the accelerators of the first phase of the executive plan of "Oman Vision 2040" linked to the economy and development axis - in addition to the financial sustainability program - to be one of the catalysts within the national economy support system."

The program analyses the investment environment in relation to domestic and foreign capital, the challenges they face and the appropriate mechanisms to improve them, taking into consideration advanced international experiences.

The program will focus on Omani exports and support their access to foreign markets to become a major contributor to the national economy.
