ROP foils drug smuggling attempt

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has stopped an attempt to smuggle more than 46 kilograms of crystal drug into the Sultanate of Oman.

"The Coast Guard Police Command thwarted the smuggling of more than 46 kilograms of crystal drug after a boat was spotted and stopped by police boats. Its crew of three were arrested before they reached a beach in Muscat Governorate. The legal procedures are being completed against them," ROP said in a statement.
