Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued Alert No. 10 of the expected heavy rains, along with hailland thunderstorms in most of the Sultanate of Oman's governorates for Thursday, April 27, 2023.
The authority indicated that it is likely to rain during the noon and evening periods, which are concentrated in the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, North Al Sharqiyah, Dhofar, Al Wusta, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah and parts of Muscat Governorate, which may range from 30 to 70 mm.
The Civil Aviation Authority called on everyone to take caution during thunderstorms, not to cross valleys, avoid low places, and not go to the sea during the warning period.

Heavy rains, ranging from 30-70 mm, lead to the flow of valleys and reefs.
Active downward winds, with speeds ranging between 15 and 40 knots (28-74 km/h).
Opportunities for hail and lightning.
Low horizontal visibility due to dust storms.
