Muscat: The Ministry of Health today launched a National Survey of Non-Communicable Diseases in Muscat Governorate.
The survey includes field visits to residential neighbourhoods in Muscat Governorate to collect data on the prevalence of non-communicable diseases like hypertension, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, cancer and heart diseases. The launch ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Saud Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat.
Sayyid Saud stressed the importance of partnership among relevant parties to ensure the realization of the objectives of this important national project. He expressed the confidence that the survey would bring about a significant shift in promoting public health and developing health services in the governorate.
The survey aims to collect accurate data on the prevalence of non-communicable diseases. The overall objective is to analyze risk factors associated with these diseases, including unhealthy diet, the lack of physical activity, smoking and the consumption of substances that are harmful to health. Accordingly, a national database will be established to help develop strategies to enhance the prevention of these diseases and develop health services in a manner that reflects positively on the health of society.
The survey affirms the Ministry of Health's keenness to enhance the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases in line with local and international efforts to improve the health of individuals and communities.
National Survey of Non-Communicable diseases begins in A’Dakhiliyah Governorate
Nizwa: The Directorate General of Health Services in A’Dakhiliyah Governorate today launched a project titled "National Survey of Non-Communicable Diseases" to promote public health and sustainable prevention of non-communicable diseases.
The launch ceremony was held under the auspices of Sheikh Hilal Said Al Hajri, Governor of A’Dakhiliyah.
It is worth noting that the project aims to provide a comprehensive assessment of the health status in the local community, develop effective preventive strategies to reduce the risks of non-communicable diseases and enhance the health of individuals at all ages.
The project also seeks to support national health strategies and guide health policies in a scientifically studied manner to help build a healthier community that is more capable of facing future health challenges.
National Survey of Non-Communicable Diseases launched in Al Wusta
Mahut: The Directorate General of Health Services in Al Wusta Governorate today launched the National Survey Campaign for Non-Communicable Diseases in the Wilayat of Mahout.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of Sheikh Humaid Dhaher Al Bat'hari, Wali of Mahout.
The survey reflects the Ministry of Health's keenness to diminish the spread of non-communicable diseases and address their associated risk factors.
