Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit receives international award

Dubai: Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit received the "Distinguished Innovation Enabler" Award as one of the top five globally, for its project: the Institutional Innovation Guide.

The award was presented by the Global Innovation Institute (GInI) in the “Global Innovation Summit 2025” held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Summit brought together the world's foremost innovators, industry pioneers, and thought leaders, aiming at promoting international cooperation and knowledge exchange on innovation in different sectors. By receiving this award, the Unit’s efforts to support and follow up on the achievement of Oman Vision 2040’s priorities are being recognised.

This is considered a great opportunity to promote Oman on regional and international levels, and an opportunity to showcase the Unit’s achievements in cooperation with relevant entities, especially in promoting the culture of Institutional innovation, through developing the “Institutional Innovation Guide” in the second quarter of 2024, which is considered the first consolidated institutional innovation guide in the Middle East and North Africa Region.

The Global Distinguished Innovator Awards are annually presented by the Global Innovation Institute, divided into 10 categories, aiming at recognizing individuals and public and private institutions that demonstrate exceptional efforts in innovation. In its current session, more than 2400 projects from around 36 countries submitted to the award.
