The University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Al Mussanah has launched its annual summer program under the theme “Summer of the Future”, organized by the Department of Continuing Education and Community Service. This initiative reflects the university’s mission to connect education with real-world experiences and strengthen its community role in building an innovative knowledge society.
The program aims to make productive use of the summer break by offering a diverse selection of interactive workshops and training courses designed to enrich participants’ knowledge and develop their skills in areas such as technology, science, innovation, critical thinking, grammar, leadership, entrepreneurship, and languages.
With around 45 training programs delivered by a team of academic and industry experts, the initiative targets the university community, public and private sector employees, and the wider public interested in personal and professional development.
Dr. Khalifa Salim Al-Hatmi, Head of the Department of Continuing Education and Community Service, emphasized the university’s ongoing efforts to reinforce its social responsibility and community engagement.
“We are pleased to launch the ‘Summer of the Future’ program, which runs until mid-August 2025. It is tailored for students, graduates, employees, and anyone eager to enhance their skills and explore new paths for personal and professional growth,” he stated.
The opening day saw active participation, with nearly 100 attendees joining sessions including a Beginner English Skills Workshop and a specialized IELTS preparation course, where participants were divided into two groups based on their proficiency levels to ensure effective, needs-based learning.
