Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Center earns global recognition as Center of Excellence in Supportive Care

Muscat – In a landmark achievement for Sultanate of Oman and the region, the Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Center (SQCCCRC), affiliated to the University Medical City UMC, has been officially designated as a Center of Excellence in Supportive Care in Cancer by the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC).

This international recognition makes SQCCCRC the first center in the Middle East to receive the prestigious MASCC designation and places it among only 20 institutions worldwide recognized for excellence in providing comprehensive supportive care to cancer patients.

This prestigious global recognition underscores SQCCCRC’s steadfast commitment to clinical excellence in oncology, compassionate and comprehensive patient care, and leadership in supportive care practices. And their commitment to the highest standards of patient-centered care, including physical, emotional, and psychological support throughout the cancer journey.

The designation places UMC among a select group of institutions worldwide that meet the highest international standards in supportive cancer care.
