'Nation’s Readiness 2025' exercise begins in Muscat

Muscat; The national exercise “Nation's Readiness 2025” commenced today in the Governorate of Muscat. Organized by the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) in cooperation with relevant authorities, the exercise will span two days.

Colonel Zayed bin Hamad Al Junaibi, Head of the National Emergency Management Center, told Oman News Agency that the exercise aims to raise the efficiency of response teams, promote coordination among various entities involved in emergency management and achieve effective measures to protect lives and public property at a national level.

Colonel Zayed added that the exercise includes simulations of several emergency hypotheses, such as managing responses to extreme weather events, implementing and coordinating safety maneuvers and validating approved national plans and measuring the speed of response and decision-making under diverse conditions.

The exercise involves the various sectors of the NCEM and the Subcommittee for Emergency Management in Muscat Governorate, with support from military and security forces and other relevant stakeholders.

Colonel Zayed emphasized that the exercise is part of continuous national efforts to strengthen the emergency management system and align with international best practices. These efforts ensure the highest levels of safety and the protection of the community and infrastructure in the Sultanate of Oman.
