
Muscat: Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces, received in his office at Al Murtafa'a Camp today Maj. Gen Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Ruwais, Commander of the Peninsula Shield Force, and his accompanying military delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and discussed several military topics of common interest. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Ahmed Hamid Al Yaqoubi, Commander of the 23rd Infantry Brigade and Brigadier Saif Hamad Al Yousifi, Assistant Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces for Operations and Planning.
Meanwhile, Maj. Gen Matar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman also received Maj. Gen Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Ruwais, Commander of the Peninsula Shield Force and his accompanying military delegation at his office in Al Murtafa'a Camp today.
During this meeting, the two sides discussed several military matters of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by several senior officers of the Royal Army of Oman.
Commander of Peninsula Shield Force Visits MTC, MSC
Maj. Gen Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Ruwais, Commander of the Peninsula Shield Force, and his accompanying military delegation today visited the Military Technological College.
Upon his arrival at the college headquarters, the guest was received by Brigadier Ahmed Khalfan Al Hadidi, Dean of the Military Technological College.
During the visit, the Commander of the Peninsula Shield Force was briefed on the college's educational mission, its academic curriculum, and the advanced technologies and educational tools it is equipped with.
Furthermore, the Commander of the Peninsula Shield Force visited the Maritime Security Centre, where he was received by Commodore Adil Hamoud Al Busaidi, Head of the Maritime Security Centre.
During this visit, the Commander was briefed on the roles of the Maritime Security Centre and its efforts in maintaining the security and safety of the environment and navigation within the maritime zones of the Sultanate of Oman. He was also introduced to the center's facilities and the modern technologies and systems utilized in its operations.
