
Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received on Monday Dr. Anikő Raisz, State Secretary for Environmental Affairs at the Ministry of Energy of Hungary.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of water resources management, climate change, pollution control, and waste recycling.
They also explored strengthening connectivity through expertise and knowledge exchange programmes and cooperation in international environmental forums, in addition to reviving several joint initiatives in this regard.
The two ministers further addressed the friendship and cooperation between the two countries across various political, economic, and cultural fields.
They commended the current level of coordination, the achievements realised, and the tangible convergence in the policies and directions of both nations in many areas. The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qatbi, Head of the International Organisations Department at the Foreign Ministry and officials from both sides. -ONA
