Muscat — The Public Prosecution reported handling 55,164 cases, marking a 19% increase in registered cases compared to 2024.
The statistics show a 13.7% rise in felony cases and a 19.6% increase in misdemeanors.
The total caseload comprised 52,553 misdemeanors, 2,593 felony cases, and 18 other cases, including violations, administrative complaints, and procedural obstacles.
The Public Prosecution achieved an overall case completion rate of 98.4%.
