Muscat : The fourth edition of the "Together Moving forward " forum continues its work at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, holding several dialogue sessions focusing on improving government services to enhance productivity and competitiveness, self-employment and entrepreneurship to build a productive national economy and a sustainable labor market, and the role of the five-year plan and priority sectors in building a diversified and sustainable economy.
His Excellency Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology affirmed during the first session of the forum that there is a continuous improvement in government performance in digital transformation; it has increased by 400 percent from the beginning of 2022 until 2025.
His Excellency Dr. Mansour bin Talib Al Hinai, Chairman of the Authority for Public Services Regulation :" The volume of investments in the sectors supervised by the Authority ranges between OMR 6 and 7 billion ."
His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Amer Al Shidhani ,Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology:" The number of projects included in the digital transformation plans is about 1,600 projects distributed across 57 government institutions, and they vary between internal organization, electronic platforms, improving services and re-engineering procedures, and about 75 percent of them have been completed."
Her Excellency Ibtisam bint Ahmed Al-Farouji, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion:" There are 200 Omani companies exporting their products to foreign markets with a value of OMR 500 million during the period from 2024 to 2025.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology said that the satisfaction rate with electronic government services reaches 78 percent.
His Excellency:" 4100 indexed electronic government services provided to all segments of society. "
"32 projects in the National Program for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technologies in the Sultanate of Oman to improve and accelerate productivity in economic sectors."
