Scheme for measuring performance of projects, local content outlined

Muscat: The Projects, Tenders and Local Content Authority (PTLC Authority) on Monday organised an introductory meeting to outline a “Scheme for measuring the performance of projects and local content”.

The meeting, which saw the participation of 22 government departments, aimed to enhance the efficiency of planning and implementation of government projects.

The meeting aimed to introduce the general framework of the “Scheme for measuring the performance of projects and local content”. It also explained the Scheme’s application mechanism and its roles and responsibilities, with the overall objective of unifying concepts, enhancing data reliability and supporting performance-based decision-making.

Eng. Zakia bint Abdullah Al Busafi, Director of Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Office at the PTLC Authority, said that the meeting set a milestone in raising government departments’ readiness to deal with project performance indicators and local content.

She added that, by launching such initiatives, the PTLC Authority expresses its keen to empower government departments and provide them with necessary support in a manner that enhances the efficiency of project planning and implementation and achieves institutional integration.
