Muscat: Oman and Iran Discuss Regional Developments, Strait of Hormuz Navigation Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi held a telephone call on Friday with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi to discuss the latest regional developments and efforts to revive dialogue and negotiations.
During the call, the two ministers discussed ways to create conditions conducive to the resumption of dialogue and negotiations, with the aim of narrowing differences and reaching peaceful solutions to outstanding issues while taking into account the interests of all parties.
The ministers also discussed developments concerning navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, stressing the importance of continuing consultations to reach practical understandings that would support the resumption of freedom of navigation and the safe, uninterrupted flow of maritime traffic.
They underscored the importance of ensuring the security of the strategic waterway and promoting stability across the region.
