CDAA discusses means of strengthening quality system in ambulance services

Muscat: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority held a senior management review meeting for the Quality Management System (ISO) at the Directorate General of Ambulance, chaired by Maj.Gen Sulaiman Ali Al Husaini, Chairman of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority, and attended by officials concerned with the implementation of the system within the Authority.

The meeting addressed a number of topics aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the quality management system and developing performance levels, thereby contributing to elevating the quality of ambulance services and achieving higher levels of efficiency and sustainability in their delivery.

The meeting reviewed the results of the internal audit of the quality management system, improvement opportunities, the adequacy of resources, the results of beneficiary satisfaction measurement, the effectiveness of operational performance and its measurement indicators, as well as the risks, opportunities, challenges, and variables that may affect the effectiveness of the system.

The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority continues its efforts to elevate the quality and efficiency of ambulance services through the implementation of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, strengthening the continuous improvement approach, and raising the efficiency of institutional performance.

The meeting comes in preparation for the upcoming external audit phase and in continuation of the Authority's efforts to implement the requirements of the quality management system, thereby enhancing its institutional readiness and consolidating a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the ambulance services framework.
