Muscat : The Ministry of Health (MOH) has urged citizens and residents accepted for the 1448 AH / 2027 CE Hajj season to visit designated health institutions across their respective governorates to receive the required vaccinations.
The directive applies to individuals selected through the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs’ electronic screening results.
The mandatory immunisation requirements include:
1) The meningococcal vaccine for all adults and children aged two months and older, with a single dose providing five years of protection. Individuals who have received this vaccine within the past five years are exempt, provided they supply proof of vaccination.
2) Additionally, a single dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine is mandatory for all adults and children aged six months and older to ensure seasonal immunity and prevent health complications.
3) The ministry has instructed all pilgrims to complete their vaccinations at least ten days before departure to reduce the risk of infection and protect public health.
