Oman traffic: New section of Al Batinah Expressway opens

Shinas: The sixth package of the Al Batinah Expressway was opened to traffic yesterday by the Ministry of Transport and Communications in the Wilayat of Shinas.
The new section of the expressway runs from Al Aqr – Al Wajajah intersection up to Khatmat Milaha for 18 km.
The four-lane expressway in each direction is supported by four bridges to ensure smooth movement from and to mountainous villages and to Al Batinah road. A truck weighing station is also installed on the road to maintain road safety and its users, besides lighting poles, traffic and guidance signs, metal and concrete barriers.
