People urged to donate platelets in Oman

Muscat: The Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS) has urged people to donate platelets for two cases who urgently need platelet transfusions.

DBBS said in a statement that two children are urgently in need of platelet transfusions on a daily basis for two weeks. The blood types required for the two cases are O(-ve) and B (-ve).

DBBS said, "We kindly request platelet donors to book an appointment via WhatsApp at 94555648."
