Several citizens arrested for hunting birds and lizards in Oman

Muscat: A number of citizens have been arrested by the Environment Authority for hunting birds and lizards in Dhofar Governorate.

A statement issued online by the Environment Authority said: "The monitors of the Najd Unit in the Directorate General of Environment in the Governorate of Dhofar were able to arrest a number of citizens while they were hunting a number of birds and lizards, in clear violation of environmental laws,"

The Environment Authority calls on everyone to cooperate and report any violations of wildlife via the number 80071999.
